Love that Wild Cookie! She's also reciting the rap all the time now - "Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar! Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar!"
Nice going to the author, the artist, and the musicians. Great work!

The Soul Food of Wisdom
A Gem of a Read!I want to know what I need to know, quickly, honestly, and without fuss. And Gina Johnson Smith gives it to me the way I need it. I look forward to Volume 2!
Wisdom - Sweet and to the point!I saw myself all through this book. If you want to really grow spiritually. If you're really serious, YOU NEED TO GET THIS BOOK!

Perfect for ideas
Outstanding! One of the best accessory books available. My favorite part of this book is when the authors take one outfit (say, white blouse and black pants) and show it with different accessories. This tactic really illustrates what a difference accessories can make. It also makes me look at my own wardrobe and think how I can achieve different "looks" with accessories rather than buying different clothes.
The other gem of this book is the accessory checklist at the back of the book, divided into categories: basic gear, ornamentation, work, evening, summer, and winter. These two pages are worth the price of the book alone.
Accessories for the Librarian

America's own design style.Author Stewart Johnson explains, in an essay at the start of the book, how a small group of American designers, several of them émigrés from Europe, abandoned the ornamentation of Art Deco in favor of simple clean lines, using new materials and manufacturing techniques. Furniture designer Paul Frankl was one of this group and he became an active promoter of the new style. He tied it all down to six characteristics
1Simplicity.
2Plain surfaces.
3Unbroken lines.
4Accentuation of structural necessity.
5Dramatisation of the intrinsic beauty of materials.
6Elimination of meaningless and distracting motives of the past.
Johnson adds one other point that Frankl would not have mentioned at the time: Streamlining. This was the idea that made the style American.
The back of the book has several pages of designer biographies, a useful glossary (Aluminum to Vitrolite and I now know what Monel Metal is) bibliography and index. Joe Coscia Jr, of the Metropolitan's photo studio, should be congratulated on his wonderful photography of the exhibits, they leap right off the page.
As this book only covers objects you might want to read about other areas of Streamline design, have a look at 'The Machine Age in America' by Richard Guy Wilson, Dianne Pilgrim and Dickran Tashjian. I think this can be considered the standard work on the subject. Another book that I like is Martin Greif's 'Depression Modern: Thirties Style in America', it has some excellent architectural (especially interior) photos that I have not seen in other books. Wonderful book!
A COFFEE TABLE BOOK--With CONTENT!

A "must" for students of mystic phenomena & metaphysics.
Read this book -- learn something!Has Mary appeared with warnings for the world? What about the Stigmata -- is it really the wounds of Christ or simply psychosis?
Kevin Orlin Johnson is an outstanding author -- anyone would enjoy his books. Not only are they fun to read...but you also actually learn something! He's given me a new appreciation for how the Church can stand up to an intellectually rigorous process.
Tired of Christian pablum? Give this book a try!
A thorough, well documented and readable collection.

A Must Have For the 21st Century!

This work of Informational Art is Great!

A MUST READ FOR ANYONE OVER 30!!Ms. Birdsong doesn't waste anytime in getting to the point. Whether it's Alzheimer's or selecting a nursing home, she gives straightforward and very accurate information. Whenever I have a question, I first consult the book for answers. I have not been disappointed, yet.
The Chapter on "Quality of Life" is especially intresting because it allows one to understand that the human spirit must still be fed, no matter what age.
I wholeheartedly recommend the book, particularly for anyone over 30.

Also check out the "misterious stranger" by the same authorand you're happy w/ your life w/ no dought, skip this book.
If you doubt everything including your feelings (especially
happiness and satisfaction), then this book provides some idea
to fill up the hole (at least partially).
There is a book by the same author called "the Misterious Stranger" which is much easier to read. It's enjoyable. So I
recommend you guys to try out the misterious stranger first.
Then, if you like the story, and you'd like to know more
about the philosophy behind it, read this one
The book that changed my idea of MankindWhether or not one finds the questions and ideas raised in the book outrageous or greatly revolutionary, one will still be able to get many hours of reading satisfaction out of it. With his usual wit, Twain has created a beautiful dialogue that in many ways can be compared to that in Plato's The Republic. And I would be amazed if this book doesn't put your brain to work. In my case I spend hours, days and even weeks discussing the book with friends and family. I simply wanted to get other people's conceptions and opinions of the ideas raised.
What Is Man? is not just a great piece of art. It is a somewhat behaviouristic philosophy and a way of looking at Mankind. In my opinion a must in every personal library. In my own case I'll need it as an e-book on my laptop for when I'm on the road and as hard back on the book shelve when I'm sitting in my easy chair relaxing after a long day.
